The Ohio Senate voted on June 2, 2005 to approve Am. Sub. H.B. 66 which includes a requested $6 million per year for Ohio's six regional hospitals. The state funding leverages another $18 million in federal funds over the next two years through the Medicaid program.
Ohio's six regional children's hospitals are grateful for the support Senator Bill Harris and his colleagues have demonstrated by making children's health a top priority in their version of the state's budget.
The bill will next be taken up in conference committee where the differences between the House and Senate will be ironed out.
As the bill makes it's way to the Governor, this Action Center will be updated with news and action alerts informing you of ways you can help make sure that children's hospitals remain a top priority in the state's budget.
