Protect Health Care for Our Kids
For Ohio's leaders to fully understand
how cuts in Medicaid eligibility and/or funding will
affect our children – as well as the children's
hospitals that protect and save their lives – they
need to hear from you. They need to hear from parents
and families, from health care professionals, from business
and community leaders. You are the people most affected
by cuts in critically needed funding that helps pay
for the high-quality care children's hospitals provide.
How You Can Help
- Learn more about the partnership
between Medicaid and children's hospitals by downloading,
printing and reading the fact sheets, briefing papers,
Q&A sheets and talking points below.
- Continue to monitor this
Web site. We will be updating it regularly so you
can stay current with what our state's leaders on
doing on this critical issue. And we will be giving
you information so you can tell state legislators
how you feel about this important issue.
- Call, write and visit the
Governor and your state legislators – urge them
to support Medicaid for kids and to protect children's
health.
- Tell your story to the media.
Tell them that Medicaid is essential to meeting children's
health care needs. Tell them how your children, family,
hospital and community will be affected by cuts in
Medicaid
